Assorted images of nature, place, culture, and outdoor adventure from around the world are highlighted in this geographical oriented portfolio. The images presented, documented from 2010 to the present, are associated with individual travel narratives and reflective stories. In the coming months, I aim to share excerpts of these stories in a fresh re-launch of my travel and adventure blog, Explorations of a Nomad, including glimpses of my thesis focused on purposeful travel, cultural engagement, and identity in nature entitled The Trail.
*Please visit again as this gallery build remains in progress. Feel free to follow along as I curate my work, introducing images and paring others, and share glimpses of each story with respective captions.

Scenes from the far north
A personal affinity has drawn me to Argentina through the years. As a youth, it was the first place I traveled to abroad to visit a close friend, Carlos, and his family, and to immerse myself in their home community of Saladillo. Traveling from east to west several times through my teens, I was afforded the opportunity to experience the metropolis of Buenos Aires, small cities and towns across the Pampas, and into the lakes region of northern Patagonia in the Andes.
Those early and impressionable travel experiences served as a catalyst in my subsequent global travels. They gave me the confidence and understanding of how to move about internationally.
Returning for a visit 30 years after my first, the exotic element of what was once a foreign land to me shifted to become a place more of comfortable familiarity. Greeted by an auspicious celestial occurrence in the form of a total solar eclipse on the anniversary day of my first stepping foot onto Argentine soil, I reunited with my friends in Saladillo and retraced my tracks across the country on a reflective adventure.
